Numerical flow simulation of a clean room

Typical loadcase for a clean room
Typical loadcase for a clean room
To ensure a high quality of clean room conditions regarding the minimisation of particle load on the working benches, the improvement of air condition and the reduction of flow induced sound sources, an optimal air flow is of essential importance.
This is influenced not only by the design of the air flow inlets and outlets but also by the heat sources like radiators or lamps.
Applying numerical flow simulation, the three-dimensional velocity and temperature fields as well as the particle paths can be predicted considering the specific flow and thermal boundary conditions of the clean room.
Based on the analysis of these results, a necessary optimisation of the air flow with suitable design changes can be effectively verified with the simulation of modified geometrical and boundary conditions.
