Because of its expertise in combining modern engineering simulation methods with biological modelling and predictions, ASD Advanced Simulation & Design GmbH has been integrated over the past decade in a number of leading European reserach projects. These are related to the application of sophisticated information and communication technologies to the medical sector as well as projects of the VPH (Virtual Physiological Human)- Initiative to facilitate the realistic modelling and simulation of human organ systems.

Due to intensive contacts to leading clinical institutions we try to consider the latest medical issues and topics and can perform the necessary clinical evaluation of the simulation methods and technologies developed.
