Thermal simulations
Various thermal problems can be found analysing the behaviour of solid bodies and fluid mechanical processes. In many cases both are closely related and need an extensive understanding of both the fluid mechanical and the structure mechanical processes.
The spectrum of numerical simulations concerning thermal problems, which is covered completely by ASD with its experienced staff members, reaches from heat conduction in components in connection with the simulation of thermal or residual stresses, heat transfer (fluid-solid, fluid-fluid) in single or multiphase systems to phase transition processes which appear during solidification to solid bodies, condensation of vapours or vice versa during evaporation.
Special features like for example the anisotropy of thermal properties, coupling with chemical and biological processes (endothermic and exothermic reactions), buoyancy processes, fog formation, cavitation in fluid systems are additionally considered in our thermal models.
A presentation of our extensive work on thermal problems for our customers with a broad application spectrum over all branches can be found under "Simulation inACTION".
