Engineering / Process Engineering

Generell engineering is one of the oldest technical disciplines and one of the leading industries in Germany. Engineering with a large number of different applications is particularly predestined to make use the support of simulation tools.
Most of the branches of engineering, such as material science, fluid mechanics, structure mechanics and thermodynamics are considered with the application of numerical methods to engineering problems.
ASD offers extensive experiences in the area of simulating the design of entire machines or parts of them.

Process engineering focusses on the design, operation and maintenance of chemical and material manufacturing processes. It also involves the design of new processes, project engineering as well as plant engineering and construction. These tasks require the calculation and optimisation of the correlating mechanical, chemical, thermal and biological processes.
A variaty of simulations for the analysis and prediction of processing plants or subsystems thereof deliver an indispensable tool for the necessary increase in efficiency of the design and development process.

Different examples for simulations in process engineering can be found in the following applications:

  • Turbomachines
  • Automotive engineering
  • Reactors
  • Cleaning systems
  • Thermal processes
  • Catalysis
  • Heat exchanger
  • Creeping
