The project will run for 3 years.

With the sub-project of ASD GmbH „Development of simulation-based detection methods for hydrogen leakage in enclosed spaces“ novel, simulation-based methods are to be developed which, based on the modelling of gas dispersion processes in enclosed spaces using measurement data, enable gas leakage localisation and determination of the leakage volume.

When planning the experiments within the project, simulations of the hydrogen propagation processes allow a targeted and comprehensive optimisation of the experimental conditions, for example with regard to the arrangement of the detectors or the definition of parameter variations, by means of ‘virtual’ experiments carried out in advance. Simulations also generate a detailed image of reality for other industrial applications of gas dispersion processes in leakages, which leads to a significant gain in knowledge and corresponding recommendations for action.

[20
271,86,561,732,733,734
