Due to new challenges caused by the internationally necessary climate protection, an improvement of the working performance of solar thermal systems is indispensable. In the future, modern buildings will have to be heated and air-conditioned for the most part by solar thermal systems. For this purpose, complex systems consisting of collector arrays and heat storage systems have to be developed.

In addition to the methods of numerical flow and structure simulation, ASD GmbH also offers the know-how for the coupling of different physical problems and their representation in the model. The evaluation of investigation results using these models provides concrete insights into systems that can otherwise only be obtained through elaborate laboratory experiments. The results with parameter studies and their impressive visualizations support the optimization of both a single system component and a complex solar thermal system.
