Thrombosis

Predict and prevent

The blood circulation is the flow system of the blood and ensures the survival of the organism by transporting substances. Pathological changes in individual veins or arteries often require targeted treatment with vascular implants such as stents.

The method of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) enables a three-dimensional, patient-specific reconstruction of individual blood vessels before and after a medical intervention.

Special calculation modules also allow the ASD to predict chemical and biological effects, such as drug delivery through the stent or thrombosis events and possible restenosis.
