Osteoblasten auf einer mikrostrukturierten Oberfläche

1st public workshop on the research project “MikroLas”

As part of the workshop on laser-structured microsurfaces on 22 and 23 January 2019 at the Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne, the growth of fibroblasts and osteoblasts on a microstructured surface was mapped in a direct cell simulation.

More than one hundred cells are simulated simultaneously in the simulation box of the “virtual microscope” and allows a direct comparison to experiments on cell adhesion and growth on micro-structured surfaces. A realistic behaviour is obtained by parametrizations of cell properties like migration, proliferation and adhesion. At the same time the number on adhered cells is determined in significant less time than comparable experiments.
